This rug is a hand knotted and made of Aloe and Banana Silk. This rug comes in several colors; please call for availability. The knotting technique is a completely manual method, by which the wools is firmly attached to the warp by knots. The type of knot and its thickness differentiate the types of rugs made wiht this elaborate manual method. The value, quality and durability of the rug is directly proportional to the number of knots employed. The hand knottig allows for complex designs. Its main characteristics are meticulous workmanship, the high number of knots per square metre and the wide range of colour combinations. The Indo-Nepalese knotting technique is particular, brought to India by Tibetan refugees, while the "sumak" knotting technique has Persian origins. This rug with its clean classical lines and a contemporary pattern will look good in any room. The material of this rug is 100% Aloe. Add a bit of elegance to any modern living space.
