Experience the profound artistry of Christopher Fareed with the 'Rice Field II' rug, a truly exceptional piece from his celebrated Rice Field collection. More than just a floor covering, this is a sculptural statement, meticulously handcrafted in India to an intriguing odd-shape that defies conventional boundaries.
The design, a poetic interpretation of shifting rice fields, comes alive through a masterful blend of 75% sumptuously soft New Zealand Wool and 25% shimmering Silk. This opulent material composition not only ensures remarkable durability and a plush underfoot feel but also allows the vibrant color spectrum – encompassing sophisticated gray, deep black, serene blue, fiery orange, and rich red – to interact with an unparalleled luminosity. Each hue seamlessly transitions, mimicking the natural ebb and flow of a landscape bathed in diverse light.
Christopher Fareed's vision for 'Rice Field II' is one of organic elegance and modern dynamism. The unique, non-symmetrical silhouette adds an architectural dimension, drawing the eye and redefining spatial perception. Whether anchoring a minimalist sanctuary or complementing an eclectic abode, this luxury designer rug serves as an unforgettable centerpiece, inviting touch and contemplation. Elevate your interior with a piece that transcends design – a true heirloom where comfort meets avant-garde art.

Christopher Fareed :: Designer Profile
A designer of the 90s and today, he has experimented with radical structures and forms. Some of his original work drew its influence from print media, pop art and grunge culture, exploring the use of cultural trends and incorporating them into home decor. His designs influence in re-defining the boundaries of rug making. Since the beginning he has used convergent technologies, computers, mathematics, and theories of proportion in his designs.
Christopher's designs are creative, maximizing the use of space, deceiving the eye if necessary and paying particular attention to the way space relates to a rug. He enjoys visually integrating the interiors with progressions of popular culture, principally reflecting modern trends and personality; incorporating individual style in existing architecture. Final results appear as if they have naturally evolved, complementing and building on each other in the final impact of the space. Each rug with its own idiosyncrasy is a tribute to the current trends.
Each contemporary rug is hand made with pure New Zealand wool which is known for its softness, pliability, and superior dye absorption (for more rich, vivid colors).
