The Jaleq III by Christopher Fareed is more than a rug; it is a canvas of contemporary artistry, a centerpiece born from the celebrated Reimagined collection. Fareed's genius shines through in this design, where ancestral Tibetan knotting traditions meet a refreshingly modern sensibility. Each Jaleq III rug is meticulously crafted in India, utilizing the pristine fibers of 100% New Zealand Wool – renowned globally for its exceptional softness, inherent durability, and natural luminosity that beautifully captures and reflects light. The exquisite interplay of sophisticated gray and warm brown tones creates a versatile yet distinctive palette, capable of anchoring diverse design schemes from minimalist chic to rich, textured environments. The tactile experience is equally compelling; the hand-knotted Tibetan construction imparts a plush, resilient pile, promising enduring comfort and a subtle, captivating texture underfoot. This piece transcends mere utility, offering an investment in both unparalleled design and lasting quality. Available in a comprehensive array of sizes, including elegant rounds, crisp squares, and classic rectangles, the Jaleq III ensures a perfect fit for defining any luxurious living space, infusing it with an understated elegance and a whisper of global artistry. A yarn card is also available for those wishing to appreciate its material splendor firsthand.

Christopher Fareed :: Designer Profile

A designer of the 90s and today, he has experimented with radical structures and forms. Some of his original work drew its influence from print media, pop art and grunge culture, exploring the use of cultural trends and incorporating them into home decor. His designs influence in re-defining the boundaries of rug making. Since the beginning he has used convergent technologies, computers, mathematics, and theories of proportion in his designs. Christopher's designs are creative, maximizing the use of space, deceiving the eye if necessary and paying particular attention to the way space relates to a rug. He enjoys visually integrating the interiors with progressions of popular culture, principally reflecting modern trends and personality; incorporating individual style in existing architecture. Final results appear as if they have naturally evolved, complementing and building on each other in the final impact of the space. Each rug with its own idiosyncrasy is a tribute to the current trends. Each contemporary rug is hand made with pure New Zealand wool which is known for its softness, pliability, and superior dye absorption (for more rich, vivid colors).
